Fan Guangyao pleaded guilty to one count of using criminal force against a public servant on April 1, The Straits Times reported.

According to a police news release issued on April 6, Fan had gone to the Airport Police Division on Feb. 11 to report that he had lost his passport and wallet.

Officers advised him to approach the Chinese Embassy for a replacement, but he responded by shouting and gesturing in an agitated manner, Asia One reported.

When the officers attempted to restrain Fan, he became violent and scratched an officer’s hand, causing multiple superficial scratch wounds.

Fan was subsequently arrested.
