New Delhi: The Department of Telecom is expected to complete the process of revaluation of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of Vodafone Idea (VIL), which has received government relief on outstanding liabilities, by June. Sources gave this information. This revaluation was earlier targeted to be completed by March 31.

Sources said that the spectrum usage charge (SUC) is also being reviewed after the internal license fee is re-evaluated by the ‘Controller of Communications Accounts’. For this reason the deadline for this process has been extended till June.

In a relief to Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) based on the Supreme Court order, the Union Cabinet has “frozen” its AGR dues at Rs 87,695 crore for the period FY 2006-07 to 2018-19.

However this amount is subject to revaluation. This does not include the AGR dues for FY 2017-18 and 2018-19, which have been finalized under the Supreme Court order of 2020 and are to be paid accordingly.
