Remo Dsouza established the dance film category through his 2013 movie ABCD aka Any Body Can Dance.
The film opened to Rs. 5.50 crores despite its lack of famous actors because it competed against the Akshay Kumar starring Special 26 movie which released in 2013.
The movie achieved total earnings of Rs. 45.50 crores because of its theme and effective marketing and ability to attract young viewers and its popular music and its dance performances.
The second part of the film follows Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor through their performance in Any Body Can Dance which became a successful film because it reached more than Rs. 100 crore in revenue.
