Gangolli: Janardhana Poojary (43), a resident of Ankoli Mane, Torolli in Kundabarandadi village, died after accidentally slipping and falling into the Chakra River on Friday. The incident occurred near Torolli while he was out fishing.

Janardhana, who was a farmer and fisherman by profession, had gone to the river in the afternoon to catch fish when the mishap took place.

Based on a complaint filed by Pradeep C. Poojary, a case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
