Chennai. Preparations for Gaganyaan, the first human space mission in India, are going on at a fast pace. Meanwhile, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched Mission MITRA (Mapping of Interoperable Trades and Response Assessment), considering crew safety and performance as the most critical elements of all human spaceflight missions.

This is the first team behavior study of its kind, aimed at assessing the physical, psychological and operational performance of crews and ground teams operating in high altitude environments.
