Each baby comes into this world with its heart full of hopes and mind full of dreams. The famous quote of Swami Vivekananda serves as a reminder for parents that optimism is something inherent in each child. Children do not think within the frames of possible; on the contrary, they dream unlimitedly, believe in miracles, and perceive the surrounding world differently, which makes their dreams golden.

Nevertheless, in time, surroundings start playing an important part in keeping or breaking the optimistic attitude. As a close person to children, parents can have either positive or negative impact on preserving their optimism. For example, constant criticism, comparison, or unreasonable pressure can gradually replace a child’s feeling of confidence with fear and reluctance. On the other hand, emotional encouragement and appreciation help in developing self-confidence.

Thus, being a parent means not only disciplining

and bringing the child up with sense of responsibility but also ensuring that a kid will be able to dream. Parents who show their love by listening, respecting the child and celebrating his successes provide conditions when optimism and positivity appear. The child will become a person who is ready to do whatever he wants to achieve his dream.

In today’s rapidly changing and highly competitive environment, it is crucial for parents to have such a point of view. There is no need for success when it comes with a price in form of lost happiness and confidence. In the contrary, parents who wisely guide their children will raise kids who are both ambitious and strong.

Every child is born with some idea that seems unlimited and beautiful. Parents’ real job here is to help kids keep on dreaming. After all, when there is an optimism to keep one going and believe in oneself, one can make one’s dream come true.
