Bengaluru: A 35-year-old man was found dead after allegedly hanging himself from a tree inside Cubbon Park in Bengaluru.


The deceased has been identified as Suresh, a native of West Bengal and a resident of Cubbonpet. He had been reported missing on Thursday after he did not return home. His family had filed a complaint at the HSR Layout Police Station.


On Friday morning, members of the public noticed a body hanging from a tree in Cubbon Park and alerted the police. Officers from Cubbon Park Police Station reached the spot and conducted an inspection.


Police found an ID card in the man’s pocket, which helped identify him as Suresh. His family members were later informed.


According to police sources, no suicide note was found at the scene. The exact reason behind the incident is not yet known.


Suresh was working at a mobile shop on SP Road in Bengaluru. Reports said that his employer had tried to contact him on Thursday, but Suresh did not respond properly and later switched off his phone.


Concerned about his whereabouts, the employer, along with family members, approached the Cubbon Park Police Station and requested help in tracing his last known location. However, it is said that police initially believed he might have gone elsewhere and sent them back.


Further investigation is underway.
