The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are gearing up to take on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 10 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium this Sunday, April 5.
Both teams are entering this match with very different vibes. SRH started the season with a loss but made a strong comeback, securing a solid 65-run win against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
On the other hand, LSG is heading into their second match of the season in Hyderabad. Led by Rishabh Pant, they faced a tough defeat against the Delhi Capitals in their opener, getting bowled out for just 141 and losing by six wickets.
Last season, SRH and LSG clashed twice, with each team claiming a victory. However, it was LSG that came out on top when they met at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In that match, SRH batted first and set a target of 190, but it could have been even higher if not for Shardul Thakur’s impressive four-wicket haul for just 34 runs.

LSG, in response, chased down the target in a mere 16.1 overs, thanks to an explosive 70 runs off just 26 balls from Nicholas Pooran, which included six fours and six sixes.
The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is known as one of the finest batting surfaces in the country. It tends to play fairly consistently, regardless of which team bats or bowls first. This was clearly demonstrated last year when SRH chased down a massive 246 against the Punjab Kings, with Abhishek Sharma smashing 141 runs off just 55 balls.
