'Afraid to speak against Modi': AAP attacks Raghav Chadha

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing attack on its own leader, Raghav Chadha.


The party's leaders have accused him of not standing with the party and "being afraid to speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi."


This comes after Chadha spoke out on being replaced as deputy leader by Ashok Mittal.

In a video statement, he asked if it was wrong to speak for the people and accused his party of trying to silence him.


He also removed AAP from his bio on the social media platform X, further fueling speculation about his exit from the party.

AAP leaders have slammed Chadha for not raising important issues in Parliament.


Anurag Dhanda, AAP's national media chief, pointed out that Chadha didn't sign a resolution against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and remained seated for the PM's Parliament address even as other party members walked out.


Saurabh Bharadwaj, President of AAP Delhi unit, said Jo dar gaya samjho mar gaya (One who gets scared is as good as dead), accusing Chadha of doing soft PR.

In contrast to the AAP's criticism, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come out in support of Chadha.


Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva slammed Arvind Kejriwal for using people and then getting rid of them.


He said, "Raghav Chadha should have broken his silence long ago; Arvind Kejriwal has a talent, first he uses people and then gets rid of them."


BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri praised Chadha for raising public issues and slammed Kejriwal for stopping him from speaking.

Despite the criticism from his party, Chadha has signaled that he has been silenced but not defeated.


His future with the AAP remains uncertain as rumors circulate about a possible shift to the BJP, according to India Today.


However, Mittal has dismissed these speculations, saying he hasn't sensed any discontent.
