Manchester United will enjoy an extended hiatus as the international break comes to an end. Michael Carrick's side won't be in FA Cup action this weekend.

United last played on March 20 when they were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Bournemouth and the club's next fixture sees them host Leeds United on April 13.

Players will filter back after representing their countries over the break, during which Marcus Rashford returned to England as part of Thomas Tuchel's latest Three Lions squad. The 28-year-old started the opening friendly against Uruguay and came off the bench in the 1-0 loss to Japan.

Rashford may now get the opportunity to gain crucial minutes at Barcelona over the weekend, but manager Hansi Flick has sent him a poignant message. Mirror Football brings you the latest from Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford gets manager's warning

Rashford joined Barcelona on an initial loan deal last summer and he has thrived under head coach Flick. His future remains somewhat up in the air though, with a £26million purchase option reportedly still active.

Nevertheless, he has found himself relegated to the bench in recent months with Raphinha returning from injury. But the Brazilian has picked up another setback and Rashford could pounce on the chance.

Addressing this in his press conference before their clash against Atletico Madrid on Saturday night, Flick does admit he has a handful of options to replace Raphinha, however.

He said: "It's an injury, and that's part of football. We have to accept it. It hasn't come at the best time, which saddens us, and now we'll have to see how we manage it.

"I'm happy with Marcus. He's performing well. He's had some physical problems in recent weeks, but now's an opportunity for him. We also have other options like Fermin [Lopez] or Gavi, who's playing at a very high level. We'll see what we decide, because we have several choices."

Morgan Rogers makes transfer decision

One of Rashford's international team-mates, Morgan Rogers, could be on the move this summer. The Sun report that Rogers is open to leaving Aston Villa in the upcoming window amid interest from a host of top-flight teams.

United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all alleged suitors and the report claims Rogers has decided he wants to join a team that can consistently challenge for trophies.

Villa will reportedly not stand in the way of the player should he wish to leave and would want at least £80m for Rogers, whom they signed for an initial £8m from Middlesbrough.
