Producer Vivek Vaswani, who made Stone Flowers, one of the early films of Salman Khan’s career, has spoken openly after years about the decision due to which he never worked with Salman again after this film. This film was written by Salim Khan and was considered an important beginning of Salman’s career at that time but despite this this collaboration could not go ahead.

During a conversation in a podcast, Vivek Vaswani clearly said that he cannot work in an environment where there is lack of discipline and people work after drinking alcohol. According to him, a film set is a professional place where seriousness of both time and work is necessary. He also said that the biggest priority for him is a systematic and respectful work environment and if it is not available then he can withdraw from working with any big star.

Vivek also commented on Salman Khan’s working style and said that he is completely professional and disciplined with certain directors and producers. Giving examples, he took the names of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sooraj Barjatya. According to him, Salman gives his best with these directors and remains in complete control. Similarly, he also mentioned Aditya Chopra and said that due to the big banner and strong direction, acting is given more importance there than stardom.

Vivek Vaswani believes that such filmmakers do not see Salman Khan as a star but as an actor and expect the same level of commitment from him. This is the reason why Salman remains more disciplined with her. He also clarified that he has no problem with anyone’s creative input but indiscipline is not acceptable at all.

Giving an example, he said that if the shooting is to start at nine in the morning, then someone arriving late affects the work of the entire team. According to him, if an artiste wants to make changes in the dialogue or costume, then he should sit and discuss it with the director ahead of time and not come to the set and make sudden changes.

When he was asked whether Salman had done anything like this during Patthar Ke Phool, he hinted that it was not possible at that time because his father Salim Khan was present on the set, which maintained discipline.

It is clear from this entire statement that for Vivek Vaswani, work environment and discipline are more important than any big name and this is the reason why despite a successful start, the pair could not move ahead.
