IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After SRH vs KKR Match: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) moved to the sixth position in the IPL 2026 points table and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) remain on the ninth spot after losing the match by 65 runs at the Eden Gardens on Thursday, April 2. After being asked to bat first, Abhishek Sharma (48) and Travis Head (46) provided SRH a flying start and forged 82 runs partnership for the first wicket.
They lost quick wickets after the powerplay with Ishan Kishan (14) and Aniket Verma (1) failing to contribute. But Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy stitched an 82-run partnership for the fifth wicket to help SRH post 228/8 in the 20 overs. For KKR, Blessing Muzarabani took 4 wickets and Vaibhav Arora picked up 2.
Chasing the massive 227-run target, the hosts got off to a great start as Finn Aleen smashed 24 runs in the first over against David Payne. But Harsh Dubey struck in the second over and dismissed Allen for 28. After his dismissal, skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi forged a 37-run partnership for the second wicket.
Raghuvanshi scored runs at a quick pace, but KKR lost two more wickets in the powerplay with Unadkat removing Rahane for 8 and Green getting run out. Rinku Singh joined Raghuvanshi in the middle and stitched a 46-run partnership to keep KKR in the match.
Raghuvanshi completed his fifty and got run out on 52, while Nitish dismissed Anukul (0) and Rinku (35). Sunil Narine smashed a couple of maximums, but he was removed by Eshan Malinga after that. KKR were 120/3 in the 11th over, but lost their last 7 wickets for 41 runs, with the middle and lower order failing to contribute in the run chase. Unadkat picked up three wickets, while Eshan and Nitish took two each as KKR bowled out for 161 runs in 16 overs.
