With the Easterholidays in full swing, kids up and down the land will likely already be complaining that they are bored. If you've run out of Easter crafts and bakingto do, then there's one deal you may want to take note of!

Merlin, who own major theme parks across the UK, has launched an offer they've described as: "Two days of fun for the price of one!" Rollercoaster enthusiasts who buy a Twice the Fun ticket to Alton Towers Resort, Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort or Chessington World of Adventures Resort will also get a second free entry to another (or the same!) theme park of their choice thrown in.

So that's a second theme park day for free to keep the kids entertained for even longer!

In order to unlock this offer, theme park fans simply need to book their ticketbefore April 19 for visit dates up until May 15. Make sure you choose the Twice The Fun ticket option to make sure you can redeem the offer. Prices start from £32 for any individual over 90cm in height, and Easter holiday dates can be booked as part of the deal. People under 90cm can enter the parks for free.

Make sure you keep hold of your original ticket, as you'll need the barcode. You can then use this number to pre-book your second theme park day for free, and then simply need to bring your booking confirmation with you on the day to enter. You have until May 15 to do both theme park visits.

Young kids will love an Easter trip to Alton Towers, as a brand new ride has just been launched in CBeebies Land. Bluey the Ride: Here Come The Grannies! is based on the Australian TV series that has become a huge hit with pre-schoolers, and the Heeler family will also be appearing in live shows and meet and greets.

CBeebies Land is also home to characters from Hey Duggee to the Octonauts with many colourful, gentle rides, while older kids and teens will love the selection of thrill rides such as the Smiler, which has 14 loops, to the intense Nemesis Reborn.

For your second trip, you may want to return to Alton Towers, if you haven't managed to fit all the rides into a single day. However, it's worth looking at some of the different options for your free ticket.

Thorpe Park is an excellent choice for parents of older kids and teenagers, as it tends to focus on thrill rides and intense rollercoasters. In 2024, it added Hyperia, the UK's tallest and fastest rollercoaster at 236 ft tall and reaching speeds over 80 mph.

For gentler rides and family fun, LEGOLAND® is an excellent option. There's plenty for small kids to do, such as the LEGO Driving School, but also some rollercoasters and bigger rides for older kids. Plus, who doesn't like playing with LEGO? There are plenty of chances to let your imagination run wild with colourful bricks.

Chessington also has lots of fun themed rides such as Mandrill Mayhem, based on Jumanji, and the Croc Drop. Families with kids who are Julia Donaldson fans will also love the The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure and can walk through Room on the Broom - A Magical Journey where the story comes to life.

Book tickets for the Twice The Fun Spring offer online or check the terms and conditions for more information.

Of course if you're looking for more fun days out as well as Merlin attractions, you can find discounted theme park tickets on Wowcher including the likes of Flamingo Land and Gulliver's theme parks. Meanwhile AttractionTix also offers a number of UK theme park deals.
