New Delhi: After launching the updated models in India in early 2025, Japanese marque Honda has pulled the plug on its inline-4, 650cc duo. Additionally, it has discontinued the X ADV crossover maxi-scooter in India. Honda had re-launched the two 650 in January 2025, following it with a series of launches which include Rebel 500, CBR1000RR-R SP, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP.

Of these, the flagship supersport, CBR1000RR-R SP, and the Rebel 500 had already been discontinued soon after being launched, most likely because of having limited allocations.

The 650 twins and the X ADV appear to have also gone this pathway, with Honda selling out all units allotted for India. This aligns with the brand’s usual strategy of bringing in a fixed number of units for their large-capacity products. Once these get sold, bookings are halted, and the models are then removed from the brand’s official website.

Of course, this might not actually indicate a permanent discontinuation. The 650 duo might actually return in a subsequent allocation cycle, most probably later this year or in the early part of 2027, although an exact timeline has not been confirmed. The last recorded price for the CB650R with E-Clutch was Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas its faired sibling, the CBR650R with E-clutch was priced at Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The X ADV’s last recorded price stood at Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
