A UK holidaymaker claimed she was told to remove her jacket at the airport gate before boarding the plane following a dispute over hand luggage.
The Brit was travelling from London Gatwick to Düsseldorf, Germany, with easyJet earlier this month for a five-day holiday. In a bid to save money, and due to her short stay, she said she only paid for an under-the-seat cabin bag.
On the day of travel, the woman explained in a TikTokvideo that she wore a jacket and scarf to the airport because of the chilly weather in the UK and after going through security, she headed to the boarding gate. She said she took off the scarf and draped it over her arm because it was warm while she waited in a queue at the boarding gate.
When she reached the front of the queue, the woman claimed she had to show that her under-the-seat bag was the correct size. She happily popped it into the easyJetbag measure, and it fitted, but then a member of easyJet staff allegedly told her, "Your bag is not zipped up".

The traveller claimed that a staff member told her she needed to "take the bag back out to zip it up". She said she did this and placed the bag back to be measured, and it still fit.
The woman then claimed that the easyJet staff member told her that her duty-free bag, of "two miniatures from Boots and a bottle of water" she had been holding, "had to fit into her hand luggage bag". She claimed that she was informed, "Anything you buy from duty-free has to fit into your carry-on hand luggage".
Explaining the scenario in the TikTok video, which has since accumulated 2.1 million views, the Brit said she had a "little bicker" with the easyJet staff member about whether this was right or not. She then claimed she was "sent away" to repack her hand luggage so the duty-free items would fit in it.
In a bid to save some space, the woman said she put her jumper and coat back on and packed the scarf into her hand luggage, along with the duty-free items. The woman said she rejoined the queue to board, while also wearing a cardigan, and claimed the easyJet staff member "immediately locked eyes" with her.
She claimed that she was "pulled to the side" and told to put her hand luggage back into the baggage sizer. At first, the traveller stated that she struggled to get her bag into the luggage gauge because her hairbrush was at an awkward angle. After readjusting, she said she was told to "take the bag out, zip it back up and put it in again".
The bag fit, and the woman said that the easyJet staff member allegedly walked away and ignored her for a few minutes. The traveller claimed she was left wondering whether she was ok to board.
As the saga continued, she explained in the video that the gate was "about to close" and "everyone was boarding the plane", so she allegedly asked the easyJet staff member, "Sorry, is this ok then, or not?" The Brit claimed she was told by another staff member that her bag was okay and that she could go ahead and board.
However, the easyJet staff member she had originally been dealing with allegedly said to her, "Take your jacket off", to which the traveller said she replied with, "What do you mean, take my jacket off?"
The Brit claimed the easyJet staff member demanded again, "Take your jacket off". The traveller asked: "Why?", to which the staff member allegedly replied: "Unzip your jacket, now!".
The holidaymaker claimed she unzipped her jacket. She also explained in the video that she had previously put her jumper back on because it was "bulky" in her bag and "thought it would make room for the duty-free", which she was allegedly told had to go into her hand luggage.
The Brit allegedly told the easyJet staff member: "I've literally just put my jumper on", to which she claimed the woman was "so rude" to her.
Finally, as the traveler made her way to board the plane, she was allegedly called out by the easyJet staff member who she claimed asked her, "What is your seat number?" before saying, "Make sure it goes into the seat in front of you and not in the overhead carrier".
The Brit said she spoke to some fellow passengers following the ordeal and told them, "I can't believe she told me to take my jacket off, that was mental".
In a statement, easyJet told the Mirror: "We are sorry for her experience and so have been in touch to apologise and offer a gesture of goodwill."
