A disturbing true crime documentary that leaves viewers feeling "sick" is scheduled to broadcast a spine-chilling episode tonight.

TikTok: Murder Gone Viral is a true crime documentary series that immerses viewers into murders where social media played a pivotal role. The first series was launched back in 2024 with three spine-chilling episodes, each delving into its own case.

Another series was subsequently released in 2025, with all six episodes currently available to stream on ITVX. An ITV synopsis states: "In the next chapter of this gripping true crime series, three more tragic cases that went viral on the social media app TikTok are investigated."

The true crime documentary will return to television screens tonight (Tuesday, March 31) as ITV2 will broadcast a brutal episode at 9pm titled The Killing of Sania Khan. The instalment, from Season 1, will explore TikTok star Sania Khan who went viral campaigning for South Asian women's rights.

However, she did not anticipate this would put her in danger from her own ex-husband. Just last night, the first episode titled The Mother and Daughter Killers aired on the channel, with another episode also returning to ITV2 tomorrow (April 1), reports the Mirror.

The true crime documentary has been labelled the perfect watch for fans of the genre, with all episodes available to stream online. Over the years, it has been described as a "mental" watch leaving many reporting how queasy they felt after viewing.

On X, one viewer remarked: "Gotta give it to @ITV they're certainly banging out some brilliant informative drama/documentaries." Another posted: "#tiktokmurdergoneviral is mental watching it now on itv loads of girls like this on tik tok it's mad?"

A third contributed: "This show is sickening me to my core. Inhumane, vile people #tiktokmurdergoneviral." A fourth wrote: "I mean, this is pretty harrowing to watch and hear #tiktokmurdergoneviral."

One individual noted: "Another sickening story and then she gets 31 years, serves her right!"

On Facebook, one episode was characterised as being "wild" as one viewer stated: "It's definitely worth a watch."

Tonight's instalment will examine how Sania Khan, 29, gained prominence on social media for documenting her experience of separating from her husband.

It features devastating testimonies from friends and family as they recount the moment their lives were altered forever.

At the time, one viewer labelled the episode as being a "shocking" watch as another contributed: "Just finished watching TikTok: Murder Gone Viral on ITV1... Scary stuff."

TikTok: Murder Gone Viral airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2. Episodes are also available to stream on ITVX.
