Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh has given a big statement regarding his retirement from cricket. He has blamed the wives of the players for leaving the game. Yograj Singh believes that when players turn 40, their wives start advising them to take care of the house and children, which becomes the main reason for them leaving the game. He clearly said that women should not come in the way of players’ careers.

Yograj Singh told in an interview that people in India start considering themselves old as soon as they turn 40. He says that the women and wives of the house ask the players to leave sports and focus on the family, which is absolutely wrong.

According to Yograj, players and fakirs do not have any religion or caste and they can play on the field as long as they want. He also said that he gives special training in his gym to the elderly to keep them fit so that people do not let age come in the way of sports.

Said this on the retirement of Rohit and Virat

Yograj Singh has also termed the discussions about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli leaving the game as wrong. He said that Rohit and Virat are still young and they should not think about retirement. He advised that if a player is scoring a double century even at the age of 50, he cannot be dropped from the team. He asked both of them to show their strength to the world and prove that no one else can take their place.

MS Dhoni praised for his fitness

With this statement, Yograj Singh has praised former captain MS Ghoni a lot. He said that Dhoni has completely proved himself right with his fitness and hard work. According to Yograj, Dhoni can play IPL for next 10 years. Referring to Dhoni’s strong arms and fitness, he said that when he is fit and playing well, no one has the right to ask him to retire.
