Share Market Holiday This Week: There is an important update for those investing money in the stock market and day-traders. If you are thinking that the market will be open at the closing of the financial year i.e. on 31st March and you will settle your position, then stop. This time there is a long wave of holidays in the last week of March and beginning of April. There is going to be a break of 4 days on trading in the stock markets (NSE and BSE) during the next 6 days. Let us know when the market will be closed this week and how the market is going to move.
March 31 (Tuesday): The market will remain completely closed on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. This is also the last day of the financial year, so do not get confused, there will be no trading.
3 April (Friday): There will be no work in the stock market even on the occasion of 'Good Friday'.
4 April (Saturday): Since it is Saturday, there will be weekend holiday.
5 April (Sunday): Sunday weekly holiday.
There will be no trading in equity, derivatives, bonds and currency markets during these holidays. However, the evening session (from 5:30 pm) in the commodity market (MCX) may continue, but the morning session will remain closed.
Before going on holidays, the market has definitely scared the investors a bit. Talking about last week's performance, on Friday the Sensex closed at 73,583 with a huge fall of about 1,458 points or 1.94%. Nifty 50 performed slightly better than Sensex and stood at 22,819 with a slight gain.
Market experts believe that in the coming days, global conditions, such as tension between Iran-Israel and crude oil prices, will decide the direction of the market. The level of 22,500 is a strong support for Nifty. If it falls below this, the market may even go up to 22,000. On the upside, it is necessary to cross the barrier of 23,500. Sensex may get support around 73,000, but the rise will come only when it crosses the level of 74,100.
