Bihar Board 10th Result 2026: The wait of lakhs of students appearing for matriculation examination in Bihar is finally over. Bihar School Examination Board has released the matriculation result for the year 2026. As soon as the results came, discussion about the toppers started in the entire state. The special thing this time was that two girl students secured first position by scoring equal marks.

The board has also announced rewards and scholarships for the topper students. A total of 139 students coming in the top 10 will be given laptops, medals, citations and cash prizes.

Two girl students jointly topped

This year, two girl students have jointly secured first position in the matriculation examination.

• Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Residential School, Jamui
• Sabreen Parveen of Higher Secondary School, Vaishali

Both of them have scored 492 marks, which is overall 98.40 percent. Both will be given a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh each, laptop, medal and citation from Bihar Board.

Second position in matriculation examination has also been achieved with excellent marks.

Second place: Nahid Sultana of Begusarai, 97.8 percent marks

• They will be given a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh.

third place: Anupa Kumari, Om Kumar, both have secured 97.8 percent marks. They will be given a reward of Rs 1 lakh each.

Students from fourth to tenth position will also get reward

To encourage the toppers, Bihar Board has also fixed awards for the students coming from fourth to tenth position.

These students will get:

• Cash amount of Rs 20 thousand
• a laptop
• medal
• citation

Bihar School Examination Committee Chairman Anand Kishore said that this year a total of 139 students who came in the first 10 ranks will be honored.

Prize money doubled from 2025

According to Board Chairman Anand Kishore, the prize money given to toppers has been doubled from the year 2025. Its objective is to encourage meritorious students to pursue further studies.

Increase in merit scholarship also

Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Merit Scholarship is also given to the toppers by Bihar Board. Earlier students used to get scholarship of ₹1200 per month, but now it has been increased to ₹2000 per month.

For how long will the scholarship last?

• If students study in a recognized school in class 11th and 12th, they will get a scholarship of ₹2000 per month for 24 months.
• If students enroll in technical diploma course, a scholarship of ₹2000 per month will be given till the completion of the course.
