Mumbai To Alibaug | Traveling from Mumbai to Alibaug for tourism is now going to be easier, faster and more comfortable. The state government has taken a significant decision to connect Atal Setu directly to Navi Mumbai International Airport, JNPA Port and further to Alibaug. This project will not only reduce the travel time but also reduce the distance between Mumbai and Konkan to a great extent.

CIDCO has started preliminary activities for this ambitious project. A lot of work is going on in terms of planning, layout and connectivity and if this project materializes in the near future, it will be a big relief for the passengers. This will make it easier for Mumbaikars to go to Alibaug for a weekend trip, while it will also be quick and convenient for citizens of Alibaug and Konkan to come to Mumbai.

At present, to go from Mumbai to Alibaug (Mumbai To Alibaug) often faces traffic. But due to this new route, if you leave from Mumbai by car, it will be possible to reach Alibaug in just one and a half hours. This will boost tourism and also benefit the local economy.

An important part of this project is the existing six-lane coastal road of about 7 km in Ulwe area. This road will be equipped with modern facilities and will be very helpful in reducing traffic stress. In the next phase, it is planned to connect this route with the proposed bridge over Revas-Karanja creek via Dronagiri.

The bridge and the coastal road together will form a direct coastal corridor from Atal Setu onwards. This will create faster connectivity between the three regions of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Konkan.
