Nowadays the use of internet is increasing in a big way. Video streaming, online classes, social media and work from home have increased data usage exponentially. At the same time, the number of postpaid users is also increasing. All these things are steadily increasing the ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) of the companies. According to experts, if the rate hike takes place this year, the revenue of the telecom sector could grow by around 16 percent in FY 2027. Earlier this growth rate was only 7 percent in FY 2026.

Jio’s role is considered very important in this possible price hike (Mobile Recharge Plans). According to reports, Jio’s IPO could come in the first half of 2026. This could give a big boost to the entire telecom sector and create a favorable environment for companies to hike rates. Taking advantage of this trend, Bharti Airtel may also increase the prices of its recharge plans.

On the other hand, Vodafone Idea’s situation is still challenging. The company has a large amount of debt and may have to make big decisions in the future to pay it off. According to the report, the company may have to hike its rates by as much as 45 percent between fiscal 2027 and 2030. However, these are only estimates for now. But this is only a possibility. However, neither Jio, Airtel nor Vodafone-Idea have given any official information regarding the hike in mobile recharge prices.
