An unrecognisable One Tree Hill child star will leave fans speechless years after disappearing from the spotlight.

Jaeden Earle, now aged 21, played Lydia Scott in the final episode of the hit teen drama, which aired in 2012.

Her character was the daughter of iconic TV couple, Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz). OTH fans will know that basketball legend Nathan first met wallflower Haley when she began tutoring him during season one.

However, unbeknownst to Haley, Nathan initially asked for her help as a way to annoy Haley's best friend, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray), who also happened to be Nathan's older half-brother.

Nathan and Haley's love story was chronicled throughout the show's nine seasons, with the couple involved in several memorable storylines.

This includes their marriage at the age of 16, the shooting of Nathan's uncle, Keith (Craig Sheffer), Haley's depression in season seven, and Nathan's shock kidnapping during season nine.

Haley notably got pregnant with their first child during season four, with their young son, Jamie (Jackson Brundage), becoming a main character when the show jumped ahead four years at the start of season five.

The couple later welcomed their daughter Lydia during the penultimate season, with Haley's best friend, Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush), being one of the first characters to meet the baby in tear-jerking scenes.

Sophia Rosalyn Allen played baby Lydia during the final season of One Tree Hill, with Jaeden stepping in to play a slightly older Lydia in the final ever scene, which saw the main cast gather at a basketball game to cheer on Jamie.

Jaeden regularly shares life updates on social media, and has attended several OTH conventions in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the beloved show was filmed.

Almost 14 years after the final episode aired, OTH fans will likely be surprised to see the young star's transformation after rising to fame on the iconic teen drama.

This comes after Sophia Bush offered a disappointing update on the One Tree Hill revival, which was announced in August 2024.

While walking the red carpet of Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party last week, the star told Entertainment Tonight: "You know, we have done such great work, and it's been really incredible to see every single person in our cast [get] excited about that phone call. [They] had amazing ideas about where their characters would be, what stories they'd want to explore."

After referencing Paramount's recent acquisition of Warner Bros, after outbidding Netflix for the studio, Sophia concluded: "I'm patient, if nothing else. That's the classiest way I can say it."

One Tree Hill is available to stream on Netflix
