Manipal: Winners of various competitions organised by Udayavani for its staff as part of Women’s Day celebrations were honoured at the organisation’s head office in Manipal on Friday.

Executive Chairman of Manipal Media Network Ltd, T.U. Satish Pai, distributed prizes to the winners and extended his wishes.

Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Media Network Ltd, Vinod Kumar, said that participation in competitions with enthusiasm helps in developing qualities such as creativity, innovation and patience. He added that it also improves the ability to use limited resources effectively.

“These skills should not only be limited to competitions but should also be applied in day-to-day work,” he said.

He noted that the increasing number of participants every year is a positive sign. The meaningful and enthusiastic participation of women has enhanced the quality of the event. Such platforms help in bringing out hidden talents among women and play an important role in boosting their confidence, he added.

He further said that when good talent emerges, it benefits the organisation as well. Active participation of women is essential for the growth of the organisation, and such programmes support that objective.
