A woman was left torn between laughter and tears after leaving her lively dog outdoors for merely two minutes. The pet owner described how she briefly turned away to complete a chore, allowing her pooch to explore the garden and relieve himself. However, when she glanced at him moments afterwards, she was appalled by what she discovered.

In an Instagram video, the woman - known as @imbluethesiberian online - revealed what her two golden retrievers managed in that brief period. In the footage, one dog is spotted calmly waiting by the entrance, while the other races around the garden, entirely covered in mud with what looks like a food bowl in his mouth.

Her caption states: "Should Bauer add landscaper to his resume?" Throughout the video, the troublesome pup can be seen charging around the swimming pool, before the owner tries to "clean him off" by tossing a toy into the water to entice him in.

Within moments, he plunges in to pursue it, cheerfully paddling about as she and her partner chuckle at his behaviour. Responding to the video, one user joked: "He was obviously framed."

Another added: "Bauer's mission is to keep things interesting... every minute of the day."

A third user said: "He is one of my favourite internet personalities - no one listens as badly as him."

One more added: "Bauer is adorable, but also the reason I'm scared to ever get another golden. Duke is perfection - I couldn't handle Bauer-level energy!"

In another clip, Bauer is spotted making a dash for it after hearing the dreaded phrase: "It's bath day" - a regular occurrence in the household given his fondness for getting caked in mud. As anticipated, the troublesome dog splashes water absolutely everywhere, soaks his owner, and even goes for the hairdryer.

His relentless energy leaves his owner shattered as she attempts to manage the lively pup. In the comments section, one admirer remarked: "Such a fun personality Bauer has - especially for those of us who get to watch. It's so relatable, whether you've got a pet or a child with that kind of energy. Such a joy to watch your videos!"

Another noted: "Enjoy it whilst it lasts - he's still got puppy energy. In a few months he'll calm down... although Bauer might be the exception!"

A third user commented: "He is so out of control - I cannot. He makes me rethink getting a golden. I'm scared."
