New Delhi: IIT alumni and Yardi founder and board chairman Anant Yardi pledge to give Rs 75 crore to his institute to support advanced research in artificial intelligence, the institute said on Thursday. With this he has taking his total contribution to Rs 150 crore.

Yardi is a 1968 batch graduate who had earlier committed to give Rs 75 crore to IIT Delhi. As per the information shared, a large amount of the latest contribution will be given to the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI), while the remaining funds will support the institute’s Infrastructure Renewal and Expansion Programme.

According to IIT Delhi, the infrastructure initiatives aim to enhance the campus facilities and accommodate further growth, building to meet the institute’s expanding academic and residential needs.

About Yardi School of AI

Yardi School of AI was established in September 2000 and mainly focuses on advancing education and research work in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science with emphasis on interdisciplinary applications. The key areas of focus include healthcare, materials science, robotics, Industry 4.0, weather forecasting, and transportation.

Yardi said, “I am deeply grateful to IIT Delhi for the strong educational foundation that prepared me to tackle life’s challenges and pursue the many opportunities that came my way.”

Leadership Conclave 2026

The IIT Delhi Alumni Association is set to host its Leadership Conclave 2026 on Saturday, March 21. The event is expected to bring alumni, including leaders, decision-makers, innovators, entrepreneurs, academicians and changemakers from across industries.

The theme of this year’s flagship event is Era of Symbiotic आत्मनिर्भरता: Cooperation as a Competitive Edge,” which reflects upon the shifting geopolitics where alliances are evolving and priorities are being redefined.

The conclave is set to serve as a platform for discussion on collaboration, innovation and leadership in a changing world. As per the information shared by the institute, around 400 IIT Delhi alumni, including CXOs, founders, policymakers, investors and business and technology leaders, are expected at the event. The conversations will engage the institute’s global network of over 65,000 alumni.
