Louis Tomlinson has revealed that One Direction song What Makes You Beautiful is one of his least favourite songs.

Released in 2011, the globally acclaimed song sung by Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis, Liam Payn and Niall Horan topped UK charts, peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

As of today, the commercially successful upbeat pop song has over 1.6 billion views on YouTube.

On March 18, the 34-year-old English singer appeared for a chat on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2where he revealed why What Makes You Beautiful is his least favourite track.

He confessed, “I’m not undermining the journey because obviously it worked out great, but also performing that always felt so eggy.”

“But the first couple of years it wasn’t really like that and so, you know, singing Baby You Light Up My World Like Nobody Else, honestly, like it wouldn’t be out of place in a Disney film, so it felt, it did just feel a little corny”, explained Louis.

However, he also admitted that it is a great song and he can’t disregard it like that as it really made his career.

The Imposter singer stated, “But it was a great song and I probably have my whole career to thank for it, so there you go.”

Tomlinson released his new album “How Did I Get Here?” in January, and will be kickstarting his world tour later in March 2026.
