T2 Tea, a premium tea brand from Australia, is closing all three of its outlets in Singapore within this month.
A spokesperson for the firm said on Tuesday that its stores in the city-state will be “closing indefinitely.”
The VivoCity store is set to shut on March 20, followed by the 313@Somerset outlet on March 22 and the Suntec City branch on March 25. Clearance sales are underway across all locations with a storewide discount of 30%.
“While we are exiting the market at this time, this does not permanently close the door,” the spokesperson told AsiaOneadding that the company may consider a re-entry in the future.

Customers in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, can keep purchasing T2 Tea products through its online store using local currencies. The brand will also continue supplying its wholesale partners in the city-state.
This setup allows the company “to serve the region more broadly” as it maintains its focus on Asia while looking to expand into additional markets, according to The Business Times.
Established in 1996 in Melbourne, T2 Tea is a specialty tea retailer offering more than 100 blends from staples like English Breakfast to signature offerings. It operates stores in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
It entered the city-state in 2017 with a flagship outlet at 313@Somerset, which also marked its debut in Asia. It has an exclusive blend for local consumers called Singapore Breakfast, which was inspired by kaya toast.
It has faced challenges in recent years and exited the U.K. market in 2023, shutting all stores and its online platform there due to “unprecedented changes,” according to Mothership.
