We are all geared up to welcome the Hindu New Year which is considered as one of the three and a half Muhurtas. ‘Chirayu 2026’ organized by ‘Shelar Mama Foundation’ on the occasion of upcoming Gudi Padwa was concluded with great pomp and enthusiasm. The entire Marathi art world was united on this occasion. Marathi New Year is welcomed with a bang by ‘Chirayu’, creating a nest of entertainment with new resolutions and work-projects. The specialty of ‘Chirayu’ organized by Shelar Mama Foundation is that through innovative concepts ‘Chirayu’ constantly conveys a different and positive message. Along with the joy of innovation, the artists working behind the scenes are noticed on the stage of ‘Chirayu’.
This year, the unique concept of ‘Seed Gudhi’ was realized on the stage of Chirayu. This Gudhi was prepared using the seeds of Godhas. This ‘Seed Gudhi’ which was erected became not only a symbol of tradition but also an inspiration to preserve the relationship with nature. A resolution was also expressed on this occasion to create a green environment by growing trees from these seeds in the future. Combining tradition and environment, this activity proved to be an inspiration for the attendees. The ceremony was resplendent in an atmosphere of excitement and joy. Since 2026, this honor ceremony is being organized continuously through ‘Shelar Mama Foundation’.

The Marathi art scene is known for its experimentalism as well as its social orientation. Keeping the sense of social commitment, ‘Chirayu’ activities are implemented. Actor Suyash Tilak was felicitated with the ‘Pyryavaran Snehi’ award sponsored by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board for his remarkable work in the field this year. Among the behind-the-scenes artists, Rahuli Nagare was honored for costumes, Sachin Gurav for outstanding contribution in the field of film poster designing, and Ganesh Gargote for his work in the field of film publicity-public relations. Along with that, makeup artist Santosh Gilbile and dubbing artist actor Mangesh Satpute were also honored on the occasion. National award winners such as Amrita Rao, Sujay Dahake, Bhargava Jagtap, Srinivas Pokale, Trisha Thosar, Kabir Khandare were also honored on this occasion.
