The 16th March 2026 episode of ' Anupama a' opened at Jaya 's school, where Saloni 's mother stormed in demanding strict action against Jaya for hitting her daughter, describing how her daughter came home crying with messy hair and scratches. The principal explained that Devika had made Anupama responsible for Jaya's guidance, which is why the school had called her.
Jaya immediately spoke up and said, Saloni had started it, repeatedly teasing her, saying she had no father, that nobody loved her, that Devika had run away and left her, calling her an orphan, and even telling her that Anupama would leave her too. Jaya admitted she had only asked Saloni to stop, but when she kept going, the anger got the better of her, and she hit her.
Anupama stands her groundAnupama gently told Jaya she was not a bad child but a good one who recognized her mistake and asked her to apologize. Jaya did so immediately. Anupama then said Saloni needed to apologize too because words hurt just as much as actions and could shake even an adult, let alone a child. Saloni's mother argued that an apology meant nothing and reminded Anupama she was only Jaya's guardian, not her mother. Anupama replied that she may not be Jaya's real mother, but she was Anu Maa and would never ignore Jaya's pain.
Saloni's mother complained that Anupama was lecturing her. The principal stepped in, defended Anupama, and asked Saloni to apologize to Jaya. Saloni did, and the two girls made peace. The principal praised Anupama for handling everything with maturity and praised the friendship between Anupama and Devika, calling it a perfect example of trust.
Sweet moments at the Shah housePrerna complimented Rahi on her dress. Rahi thanked her but said there was no need for the gift. Prerna jokingly told her to learn to accept gifts. Vasundhara spotted Prerna, Rahi, and Prem together and was visibly unsettled. Prem tried to lighten her mood by suggesting an ice-cream date and promising no one would interfere. Rahi backed him up, and Vasundhara eventually agreed. Prem told Vasundhara she could keep fighting with him, but should not stay angry too long. Prerna told Rahi that Prem loved both his family and Rahi equally. Rahi said that was exactly why she felt so lucky. Prerna then invited Rahi for a coffee date, but Rahi said today was not possible as they were heading to the Shah house. She explained that after Prarthana's accident, all the cousins had decided to meet every fifteen days, no matter how many misunderstandings they had, and that Mahi might also join them.
At the Shah house, Hasmukh and Leela were having a quiet moment when a flower vendor jokingly suggested that Hasmukh buy Leela flowers. Leela refused at first, but Hasmukh bought a gajra and lovingly placed it in her hair. Leela shyly said that at this age, he was putting flowers in her hair in front of everyone. Hasmukh said there was nothing wrong with it. Leela said she felt they had become more like friends than just husband and wife. Hasmukh said Anupama had once told him that friendship makes relationships even sweeter. He reminded Leela about the family get-together Anupama had planned for every fifteen days. Leela grew worried about their finances and wondered how they would repay Jassi's money. Hasmukh reassured her they would manage and promised to work harder.
Paul troubles Anupama, and Jassi's feelings growAfter leaving school, Anupama sat fixing her bicycle and told Jaya the story of how she and Devika became best friends. Someone had once pulled Devika's ribbon at school, and Devika was wrongly punished. She came to fight with Anupama over it, and mid-argument, they discovered the real culprit was the class monitor. They teamed up to confront him, and that was the moment they became best friends. Jaya listened with amazement and promised never to fight with Saloni again.
Paul showed up and offered Jaya food, mocking that Anupama could not afford it. Jaya snapped back and called him a bad man. Paul complained that children these days were taught to disrespect elders and asked if she talked the same way with the people at Saavi Villa. Jaya said those people were actually kind. Paul then turned to Anupama and told her this was his area and she should quietly leave.
The women nearby called Paul out for constantly picking on Anupama. Paul told them to mind their own business and sarcastically questioned why Anupama was cooking here when she had a family. The women stood by Anupama and warned her to watch out for him. Anupama thanked them and said she was simply trying to run her household, nothing more.
Back at the Shah house, Prem was cooking for everyone. Rahi asked him to come and sit with the family, but he refused, saying he had carefully planned the menu and was not coming out until everything was ready. Rahi kissed him and said she had never imagined finding such a wonderful life partner. Prem said he was the lucky one.
Jassi told Ansh she would make lassi for him and the family, saying since Prem was cooking,g she should contribute too. Ansh thanked her. Jassi said that when she was in Mumbai, she had missed her family terribly,y but after meeting Anup, ama she realized family can be created anywhere. She said Anupama had taught her that relationships are built through love and care. Jassi quietly felt happy whenever she saw Ansh smiling.
Digvijay 's cold heart, a kind vendorA vendor offered Anupama lemon water because of the heat. Anupama refused at first, but the vendor insisted. Jaya asked for just one glass so she could share it with Anupama. While Anupama was fixing her bicycle, Jaya spotted the doctor's car and tried to stop it. The doctor was inside with Digvijay and asked the driver to stop,p but Digvijay refused. The doctor questioned why he was so stubborn. Digvijay said that when he once needed him, lp nobody had supported him, and because of that, he had stopped expecting anything from the world. The doctor reminded him that one day he might regret this. Digvijay remembered the times he used to take Saavi on long drives in his car. The doctor invited him to a party, but Digvijay refused, though the doctor said he would still come to pick him up. Jaya told Anupama that Digvijay was a bad man for not stopping. Anupama gently told her not to speak badly about elders.
Precap: Jaya dresses as a fairy for the fancy dress competition. Digvijay becomes emotional remembering Saavi and hugs Jaya. Meanwhile,e Anupama is suddenly thrown out of her work. The woman tells her that many complaints have been made against her, and her services are no longer needed. Paul appears nearby, and Anupama realizes he is likely behind the complaints.
