Oscars 2026 winners: Michael B. Jordan won the Best Actor award for Sinners at the 98th Academy Awards. This marks the actor’s first Oscar win, beating strong contenders including Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, and Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another. After dominating the awards season, Jessie Buckley took home the Best Actress award at the 2026 Oscars for her performance in Hamnet. Meanwhile, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another won the Best Picture award.

In other categories, Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for Weapons at the age of 75, while Sean Penn took home Best Supporting Actor for One Battle After Another. He won the Oscar for the third time. In the animation category, KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, continuing its strong awards-season run. Frankenstein has also dominated several technical categories so far, winning Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Production Design.
