Shubman Gill received ‘Polly Umrigar Award’

India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has been honored with the prestigious ‘Polly Umrigar Award’ for the ‘Best International Cricketer (Male)’. This was the second consecutive time that Gill received this honor for his excellent performance at the international level.

In the women’s category, star batsman Smriti Mandhana was awarded the title of ‘Best International Cricketer (Women)’. This marked the fifth time in his career that he had received this honour, reflecting his consistently excellent performances in international cricket.

Domestic cricket stars should be honored

Many domestic cricket players were also honored for their stellar performances during this season

Ira Jadhav (Mumbai) received the ‘Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy’ for the ‘Best Female Cricketer’ in domestic cricket.

Shefali Verma (Haryana) was awarded the ‘Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy’ for the ‘Best Women Cricketer’ in senior domestic ODI.

Ayush Mhatre (Mumbai) received the ‘Lala Amarnath Award’ for the ‘Best All-Rounder’ in the domestic limited-overs tournament.

Harsh Dubey (Vidarbha) was awarded the ‘Lala Amarnath Award’ for the ‘Best All-Rounder’ in Ranji Trophy.

Additionally, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) received the BCCI’s ‘Best Performance Award’ in domestic tournaments as they won four trophies this season and finished runners-up in two competitions.

During the ceremony, the BCCI also honored Indian cricket legends with ‘Lifetime Achievement Awards’, including:

These awards recognize his immense contribution and long-lasting impact on Indian cricket. Awarded to the five teams that won the ICC Trophy.

In a historic move, five Indian teams who have recently won major ICC titles were honored together at the NAMAN Awards.
