After so many years of cruising Jane says it's difficult to pick a favourite country, but if she was pushed, she would plump for the little-known South American country of Uruguay.

"It's like picking your favourite child and I see magic in every place I visit, but Uruguay is fantastic," she says. "It's the best-kept secret in the world. It's like the best parts of the world are all in this one place.

"You've got amazing wine, fabulous food and stunning harbours to rival St Tropez. You arrive and you don't want to leave the harbour, because it's like the south of France. Then you drive up to the vineyards and it's like being in New Zealand. It all comes together. I think we'll hear a lot more about Uruguay."

The globe-trotting songstress goes on to sing the praises of the picturesque Italian isle of Capri explaining it is the best island that she has visited while on a cruise. "I love the shopping there for starters," she says. "It's got every shop you could possibly want, but you do need a very good credit card, because it's so expensive.

"It gets busy, but it's got great food, fabulous weather and very good limoncello."

As well-travelled as she is, there are still places that Jane hasn't been to and the tiny Italian island of Ischia is top of her list.

"I saw a film about it many moons ago and it's on my bucket list," she says. "My sister-in-law wants to go too, so we may go together.

This year she will venture to pastures new and a two-part Channel 5 documentary will follow her to Nashville to learn more about the iconic home of country music where Jane has just recorded her new album.

Living the Dream is Jane's 11th studio album and presents her nod to country music, with nine original new songs and four reworkings of country classics, including To Know Him is to Love Him and Heartache Tonight.

She also told the Express last week how she ended up fainting at yoga while trying to get in shape.
