New Delhi: India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill is set to receive the Best Men’s International Cricketer of the Year Award at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s annual Naman Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 15. The award ceremony will take place in New Delhi.

While Gill has been named the best male international cricketer, Smriti Mandhana will receive the award for the Best Women’s International Cricketer of 2024-25 at the BCCI Naman Awards. Team India pacer Harshit Rana will receive the award for Best International Debut Men’s, while spinner N Shree Charani will get the award for Best International Debut Women’s.

Top Indian performers from across international and domestic cricket will be honoured at the BCCI annual Naman Awards ceremony in New Delhi. The biggest honours at the ceremony will go to India legends Rahul Dravid, Mithali Raj and Roger Binny, who will receive the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions towards Indian cricket.

Dravid, Binny and Mithali to be honoured

Dravid and Binny will be bestowed with the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, BCCI’s highest honour. Former India captain Dravid enjoyed a stellar international career as a player, amassing over 24,000 runs across formats in international cricket. The legendary batter seamlessly transitioned into coaching after his playing days.

He coached India’s A and U19 teams before becoming the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he played a key role in helping India strengthen their player development structure. Dravid led India to the U19 World Cup title in 2018 and guided the senior Indian men’s team to a memorable triumph in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Binny was part of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning team under the legendary Kapil Dev. After his playing career, which spanned over a decade, Binny continued to serve Indian cricket as a mentor and an administrator. He served as the BCCI president from 2022 to 2025.

Mithali is regarded as one of the greatest women’s cricketers of all time. An ambassador of the women’s game in India, Mithali is the highest run-getter in women’s ODI history with 7,805 runs at an average of 50.68. In a career that spanned over two decades, Mithali was one of India’s most consistent batters and led the team with distinction. She led India to two Women’s World Cup finals as captain.
