In a shocking incident from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, a minor son has accused his 55-year-old father of preparing for a seventh marriage. The son has filed a complaint at the Aharoula police station, seeking to halt his father's impending nuptials. According to the son, his father has already been married six times and is now allegedly planning to sell land to finance this new marriage.
The minor, a student, claims in his petition to the police that his father has had three marriages with his mother being the third. The father’s sixth marriage took place in 2024, but shortly after, the new wife demanded land and jewelry in her name. When the father refused, she left the household.
The son further alleges that his father is actively seeking people to arrange the seventh marriage and is attempting to sell off remaining land for this purpose. He claims that his father has already taken an advance of 50,000 rupees from someone for the land sale.
The police have indicated that there are also disputes regarding land and inheritance involved in this case. The Superintendent of Police, Chirag Jain, mentioned that a petition was submitted during a public hearing, detailing the allegations of the father's seventh marriage. Initial investigations suggest that there are conflicts over land and inheritance, and a thorough inquiry is ongoing to determine the facts and take appropriate legal action.
