Hariyali Paneer Tikka is such a starter dish which everyone, whether children or adults, eats with great enthusiasm. It has a wonderful combination of mint, coriander and spices, which gives it a refreshing taste. The special thing is that it can be made very easily at home and it can become the pride of the party menu.
Method to prepare green masala
First of all, prepare a smooth paste by adding green coriander, mint leaves, green chillies and a little water in the mixer. Now add curd, ginger-garlic paste, chaat masala, black pepper, garam masala, gram flour, salt and lemon juice to this paste. Beat this mixture well so that a thick and flavorful marinade is prepared.
How to marinate cheese
Now add the paneer pieces to the prepared green masala. Also add capsicum and onion pieces. Mix everything gently so that the cheese does not break. Now keep this mixture to marinate for at least 30 minutes. With this, the flavor of the spices will penetrate well into the cheese.
Tikka Recipe
You can easily make Hariyali Paneer Tikka using all three methods – tawa, oven or air fryer. First of all, put the pieces of marinated cheese, onion and capsicum one by one on the skewer. This will make the tikka look attractive and cook evenly.
If you are cooking on a pan, heat a non-stick pan and add some oil or butter to it. Now place the prepared skewers on the pan and cook on medium flame. Keep rotating it occasionally so that the cheese gets cooked properly from all sides. In about 6-8 minutes the paneer will become light golden and crisp at the edges.
When the tikka is cooked well, sprinkle some chaat masala and lemon juice on top. Now serve it hot with mint chutney, onion slices and lemon pieces. Guests will definitely like this dish at the party.
