Announcement of Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s Gavistha Yatra

Prayagraj. Swami Avimukteshwaranand has announced to start ‘Gavishta Yatra’ in Gorakhpur from 3rd May. This yatra will last for 81 days and will end in Gorakhpur on July 23. During this yatra, the appointed teams will visit various villages of Uttar Pradesh to make people aware and communicate on issues to Sanatan Dharma and cow protection.

Objective to reach villages

Swamy told during a program that a target has been set to reach about 1.08 lakh villages of the state through this yatra. He urged the supporters to form a team and go from village to village to convey the truth to the public along with the evidence of the clothes.

Swami Avimukteshwarananda claimed that many obstacles were created at the administrative level for this programme. According to him, first an attempt was made to stop the program in Kashi, then objections were raised regarding its entry in Lucknow, and finally late in the night permission was given with 16 conditions, to which 10 additional conditions were later added.

Importance of Shankaracharya post

In his address, he said that the post of Shankaracharya holds the highest position in Sanatan Dharma. He was also of the opinion that this system is based on knowledge and tradition, and not on mobocracy. Describing cow protection and protection of Sanatan Dharma as the responsibility of the society, Swami appealed to the saint community to play an active role.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand clarified that his intention is not to form any political party. He said that the objective of Sant Samaj is to spread the message among the citizens that whoever works for cow protection and the welfare of the society should get support.

Swami also plans to discuss some of the distortions that have occurred in the Sadhu community. In this context, letters will be written to various Akharas requesting them to clarify their role. Apart from this, he also expressed the idea of ​​forming ‘Shankaracharya Chaturangini Sena’, which would include Sannyasis, Bairagis, Udasins and householders.
