Paul McCartney and Paul Mescal were spotted together in central London over the weekend.
Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has been seen out and about with actor Paul Mescal, who is portraying him in a biopic about the Liverpudlian music legends. Actor Paul paused filming for the new Beatles biopic to meet with Sir Paul, whom he portrays in the upcoming film. The Irish star, who is in Hamnet, has been spotted filming in Liverpool, where Sir Paul and his bandmates grew up.
However, over this weekend, Paul was seen filming a new documentary about The Beatles with Sir Paul in London. The duo looked in good spirits as they strolled through the nation's capital together before going to the Regency Cafe in Westminster. Production has been keeping a tight lid on details about the upcoming biopic, but 30-year-old Paul has made it clear he's thrilled to be starring in the movie, having described Sir Paul as "kind" and "extraordinary".
Paul wore a casual look for the meeting, a blue denim jacket paired with denim jeans, as he was seen holding a notepad.
Sir Paul, 83, looked smart in a striking navy jacket and jeans, completing his look with trainers.
Paul had a cigarette break outside the cafe over the weekend, as camera equipment could be seen in the background.
The Beatles biopic is scheduled for release in 2028. The other Beatles will be played by Barry Keoghan, Harris Dickinson, and Joseph Quinn.
The two stars were seen conversing in London by the cafe, with Paul holding up an umbrella to shield the singer from the wind and rain.
They both fitted under the umbrella; however, the rain did not look as though it was heavy at the time.
Sir Paul stepped outside in front of Paul, who smiled as he held a bulky notepad. Sir Paul, who has been performing since the 1950s, looked serious as he walked outside the cafe.
The artists looked upbeat as they enjoyed the day together while filming. In this image, they appeared to be discussing Paul's notebook, which he brought along for the occasion.
The pair were seen walking together, with no one else in sight outside the cafe, which is known for its traditional English breakfasts. The venue has been voted the fifth-best eatery in London on Yelp. In other pictures, there were posters on the cafe saying it was closed for an event.
