Under PM Kisan Yojana, a total financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand is given to farmer families every year. This amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The 22nd installment will also be released on the same lines. This provides financial assistance to farmers for crop costs, seeds, fertilizers and other agricultural activities.

Which farmers will not get benefits

The benefit of the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana will not be available to those farmers who have not yet completed e-KYC or who do not have a valid Farmer ID. Apart from this, if more than one member in a farmer family is already taking advantage of the scheme, the other members will not be able to avail the benefit of this installment.

According to the rules of the scheme, the family consists of husband, wife and children. If a farmer has got a government job or has become a tax paying person, then he will not get the benefit of the scheme. Similarly, if a farmer has started getting pension of Rs 10,000 or more under another government scheme, then the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana will be stopped.

E-KYC and Farmer ID are mandatory to avail benefits under PM Kisan Yojana. The government has made this process mandatory to transfer the installment directly to the bank account. If the farmer has not done e-KYC, his installment will be blocked. Farmer brothers and sisters can ensure the benefits of the scheme by keeping their bank account and mobile number updated.
