But now his old friend and second pillar of ‘Salim-Javed’ duo Javed Akhtar gave information that made everyone happy during a book launch event in Delhi. Javed Akhtar told that Salim Khan’s condition has improved a lot and he is feeling much better now. “He is talking while sitting on a chair.” Referring to his meeting, Javed Akhtar said, “Salim is absolutely fine now. He is recovering and now he has even started talking while sitting on a chair. This improvement in his health is really pleasant.” This statement of Javed Akhtar has put an end to all the speculations which were going on on social media regarding Salim Khan’s critical condition. What happened to Salim Khan? 90-year-old Salim Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai at around 8:30 am on 17 February 2026. After examination, doctors told that he had suffered ‘Minor Brain Haemorrhage’. Treatment: Doctors did his DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography), which is an advanced diagnostic test. Ventilator: Initially he was put on ventilator as a precautionary measure, but after his condition became stable, he was soon removed from the ventilator. Salman Khan again started shooting for ‘Battle of Galwan’. After his health deteriorated, superstar Salman Khan had stopped the shooting of his film ‘Battle of Galwan’ midway and was constantly accompanying his father in the hospital. Now that Salim Khan’s condition is stable and he is recovering, Salman Khan has returned to work. Recently, a smiling picture of him from the set has also gone viral, which is a good news for the fans. Many celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Daisy Shah had reached the hospital to know the condition of Salim Khan.
