Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended a program in Shamshabad in Vidisha district today, March 7. Where he started many works related to the development of the district. The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurated various construction works costing more than ₹163 crore. On this occasion, district level fingerprint lab scheme was also started. Besides, benefits were also given to the beneficiaries of many government schemes.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers. The government's aim is to ensure that irrigation water reaches every farm. For this, work is being done on many big irrigation projects. He said that the area under irrigation in the state is increasing rapidly due to Ken-Betwa river linking project, Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project and other modern irrigation schemes. In the last two years alone, the area under irrigation in the state has increased by about 10 lakh hectares. Now irrigation is being done on about 55 lakh hectares of land in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is called the motherland of rivers. States like Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh also get water from here. Water also reaches Bihar and Gujarat. He said that earlier governments did not pay much attention to the proper use and management of river water. But now with the efforts of our government, Vidisha district will also get the full benefit of the Ken-Betwa River Project.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that to make women strong and self-reliant, a skill training program named 'Navya' has been started from Vidisha. This scheme has been implemented in 27 districts of 9 states of the country. Vidisha is the only district of Madhya Pradesh which has been included in this scheme. Under this scheme, 10th pass sisters will be given training in different types of work, so that they can start their own work and get employment.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is giving ₹ 1500 every month to women under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana and this amount will be gradually increased in the coming times. He said that Sandipani schools are also being built in the state, where children will be given better and complete education. Along with this, laptops, cycles, books and dresses are also being given to the children of government schools so that they do not face any problem in studies.
The Chief Minister said that big cow shelters are being built in the state to take care of mother cows and promote animal husbandry. A big model cow shelter will also be built in Shamshabad. He said that the government has increased the assistance amount per cow for government cow shelters from Rs 20 to Rs 40. Apart from this, the state government has also started Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme. Under this scheme, if a person rears 25 cows, he will be given a grant of up to Rs 10 lakh from the government. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the people of Shamshabad welcomed him very warmly, due to which he is very happy. He said that Vidisha district is rich with the flow of Buddha and Betwa rivers. This city is considered dedicated to Lord Sun. Like Ujjain, Vidisha is also a historically very important city.
