The Indian women’s cricket team is currently on a tour of Australia. The only Test match is being played between the two teams. Earlier a three-match T20 series was played while an ODI series was also played. India’s innings ended on 198 runs on the first day. In reply, Australia were 96 for 3 in the first innings when the game ended. Alice Perry was playing for 43 runs and Annabelle Sutherland was playing for 20 runs.


Perry missed the century


Perry scored a half-century on the second day of the match, but missed out on her third Test century. She scored 76 off 116 balls and was dismissed lbw by Deepti Sharma. Along with this, Perry set many records. She reached the 1000 run mark in her 15th Test and 24th innings. This also made her a top 10 run-scorer in women’s Test cricket. Ellyse Perry is the only woman cricketer to score more than 1,000 runs and take more than 30 wickets in Test cricket.

She also became the second woman cricketer to score more than 1,000 runs in all formats. Perry has overtaken Karen Rolton to become the highest run-scorer in Tests for the Australian women’s team. Perry has so far played 165 ODIs in her career. In 137 innings, she has scored 4,504 runs at an average of 48.43 and a strike rate of 78.48. She has 37 fifties and three centuries in ODIs. Perry has scored 2,201 runs in 171 T20 Internationals. During this period, the Australian all-rounder averaged 30.15 and a strike rate of 116.82.
