Biju Menon is widely admired for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema and despite a career spanning more than two decades the actor has always maintained a deeply private and grounded personal life.
Born on September 9, 1970, in Thrissur and Biju Menon grew up in a traditional household. His father, Madathiparambil P.N. Balakrishna Pillai, served as a police officer, while his mother Malathiyamma Menon played a central role in supporting the family.
The actor grew up with four brothers : Soman, Suresh, Rajendran and Sreekumar. Even after becoming one of the most respected actors in Malayalam cinema, Biju Menon has continued to live a simple and grounded life.
From on-screen chemistry to real-life love Biju Menon’s personal life took an important turn when he met actress Samyuktha Varma and the two first connected while working together in Malayalam films. They shared screen space in films like 'Meghamalhar', 'Mazha' and 'Madhuranombarakkattu'. After a long period of love, the couple got married on November 21, 2002.

Earlier, speaking in an interview with Manorama weekly magazine, Biju Menon explained that the decision about returning to films lies entirely with Samyuktha.
“Everyone asks me when Samyuktha will return to films. That is Samyuktha’s decision. It was Samyuktha who decided to quit cinema after marriage. She has complete freedom to make decisions regarding such matters. Right now, Samyuktha prefers to focus on family matters and on our son. Life is going in a very balanced way,” Biju Menon said.
Fitness, yoga and their opposite personalities Biju Menon also spoke about Samyuktha’s dedication to fitness. According to the actor, she often encourages him to follow a healthier routine as well. However, he admitted that maintaining such discipline requires patience.
“Samyuktha is very particular about fitness. She tries to lead me into that as well. But you need a lot of patience for it, and I don’t have that. I cannot sit for long sessions. Samyuktha teaches breathing exercises. I can manage that much, but the rest is difficult for me. In that matter, we are like two opposite poles. It’s mainly because I don’t have the patience. But if you practice it, it brings a lot of calmness and peace,” Biju Menon added.
Samyuktha is also a certified yoga instructor and actively follows a disciplined lifestyle.
Family life with son Daksh Dharmik Menon The couple shares a son, Daksh Dharmik Menon, who was born on September 14, 2006. Speaking about his son, Biju Menon said Daksh occasionally watches his films but does not always understand them completely.
“Daksh watches most of my films. He is studying in Plus One now. He doesn’t always understand all my movies. Samyuktha is someone who watches films very carefully. Because of my shooting schedules, I often don’t get time to watch films. Samyuktha prepares a list of movies that I must watch and encourages me to see them.”
The actor also revealed how much he values Samyuktha’s perspective on cinema.
“I get a lot of information about cinema from Samyuktha. Sometimes I feel she knows more about the changes happening in the film industry than I do. Samyuktha is the one who motivates me to improve and become better.”
