Jay Shah confirmed the tournament reached 500 million viewers in India which marks the highest record for T20 World Cup viewership in the country. He announced that JioHotstar streaming platform achieved a record 60.5 million users who watched content simultaneously at its highest point of the day. Lalit Modi used Shah's post on X to show how India used its commercial power and broadcasting capabilities to create successful tournament results.
