Airlines across the region are still adjusting schedules as the situation in West Asia continues to disrupt normal travel patterns. Now, Air India is adding extra flights on several long-haul routes to help handle the growing demand.

The airline says the additional services will run between Delhi and three major international hubs: Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris, over the first half of March.

For many travellers trying to reroute trips or secure seats at short notice, these extra flights could make a real difference.

Extra Delhi–Toronto Flights From 5–11 March

The biggest boost is on the Delhi–Toronto route, which remains one of Air India’s busiest long-haul connections.

The airline will operate:

  • 3 additional flights between Delhi and Toronto
  • Travel dates: 5 March to 11 March

Toronto is a key gateway for passengers heading to Canada and North America. Seats on this route have been in high demand as travellers adjust plans due to flight disruptions across parts of the Middle East.

Additional Flights to Frankfurt and Paris

Air India is also expanding its European schedule for a short period. Between 7 March and 10 March, the airline will add:

  • 3 extra flights between Delhi and Frankfurt
  • 1 additional flight between Delhi and Paris Charles de Gaulle

Both cities serve as major European aviation hubs. From there, passengers can connect onward to many destinations across Europe.

More Options for Connecting Travellers

These extra flights are not just for people travelling to Canada or Europe.

They also help passengers connecting through Delhi, which has become an important transit point as airlines adjust routes to avoid certain airspace in West Asia.

Travellers arriving in Delhi on these services can continue their journey to:

  • Major cities across India
  • Popular destinations in Southeast Asia
  • Other international routes served by Air India

This gives passengers more flexibility when booking long-distance trips.

More Flights Could Be Added

For now, the extra services are scheduled to run until 11 March.

However, Air India says it is closely monitoring the situation and may add more flights on these routes if demand continues to grow.

For travellers planning trips in the coming days, it may be worth checking schedules frequently as airlines continue to adjust flights in response to the evolving situation.
