Brooklyn Beckham turns 27 today - and despite a very public family fallout, David Beckham has shared a birthday message to his son on Instagram. His special day comes just weeks after he publicly criticised his parents David and Victoria Beckham in a bombshell statement confirming their fallout.

His claims included accusations of years of control and pressure, as well as disrespect towards his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. Since then, Brooklyn has seemingly tried to show that he doesn’t need his family, sharing gushing snaps with his wife and posts about his burgeoning chef career.

Being what is often dubbed "a nepo baby" all his life, Brooklyn has continuously faced scrutiny over his career choices. But following the very public family dispute, a PR expert says interest in his personal life and next moves is at an all-time high - though warns he must choose his next step carefully.

Much like Prince Harry, Kayley Cornelius, a Celebrity PR Specialist at PressBox PR believes a tell-all book with a hefty sum would likely already have been offered to the eldest Beckham child. The Prince himself released his bestselling book, Spare, in which he shared his version of events about life in the Royal Family after stepping back in 2020.

Sharing her thoughts on Brooklyn's next move, Kayley told us: "It's highly likely that he has already been offered a six-figure advance to pen a memoir addressing the feud, particularly given how quickly publishers move when a family dispute is dominating headlines.

"On paper, it would be positioned as a guaranteed bestseller, with comparisons inevitably drawn to Prince Harry and the commercial success of his own tell-all."

However, unlike Harry, the PR expert believes there’s a chance it may not be as popular. "While there is strong public curiosity around the Beckham family dynamic, much of that interest thrives on social media snippets, viral clips and easily digestible gossip, so translating that into hard book sales is another matter entirely," she shared.

"A memoir immediately places a paywall in front of the content, and I am not convinced Brooklyn currently has the individual brand strength or loyal standalone fanbase willing to part with their money in significant numbers."

Due to this, Kayley said there is "a real risk" that rather than a tell-all book being a defining career move, "it becomes another project added to the list of failed ventures, and ultimately a huge flop".

Should he want to share more of his side of the story, Kayley believes Brooklyn should opt for a "carefully managed" interview on a digital platform instead.

"That said, even that approach carries risk, and continuing to publicly dissect the situation may start to hinder future opportunities rather than help them," she added.

"We have already seen how public perception shifted for Prince Harry once family grievances became monetised, and years later he is still navigating the consequences of that decision, so Brooklyn could very easily find himself on a similar path if he chooses to go down that route."

While a six-figure sum may be tempting, Kayley said reputationally his best bet is to stay quiet and focus on building his credibility.

She concluded: "His passion for cooking is clear, and if he continues to create consistent food content, expand his condiments range or work towards opening his own restaurant, he stands a far better chance of earning long-term respect. Audiences are far more receptive to tangible skill-building and entrepreneurial focus than they are to prolonged family drama. Right now, longevity will come from substance, not headlines."
