SA vs NZ Semi-Final: The first semi-final match of T20 World Cup 2026 is being played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. The South African team, which came to bat first, was in a lot of trouble. The team had lost 5 wickets on the score of 77 runs. Then Marco Jansen became the troubleshooter for the team and played an unbeaten inning of 55 runs. On the basis of his innings, South Africa has scored 169 runs for 8 wickets. Now if New Zealand wants a ticket to the final, it will have to score 170 runs.
After losing the toss in the semi-final match, South Africa came to bat first and the captain started the innings. Aiden Markram and Quinton de Kock did it. South Africa had a bad start. Markram returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs on 20 balls. After this, South Africa lost 2 wickets in the 10th and 11th overs. Rachin Ravindra dismissed David Miller on a personal score of just 6 runs. After this, in the very next over, Cole McConchie showed the way to the pavilion to the set batsman Dewald Brewis. Dewald Brevis was out after scoring 34 runs on 27 balls. During this, 3 fours and 2 sixes came from his bat.
After losing 5 wickets at the score of 77 runs, Tristan Stubbs and Marco Jansen took over the innings of South Africa and made a half-century partnership for the sixth wicket, but then at the score of 150 runs, Lockie Ferguson gave the sixth blow to South Africa. He dismissed Tristan Stubbs on a personal score of 29 runs. Marco Jansen stayed till the end and scored a half-century and took the team’s score to 169. Marco Yansen played an unbeaten inning of 55 runs in 30 balls. During this, 2 fours and 5 sixes came from his bat.
Whereas for New Zealand, Matt Henry, Cole McConchie and Rachin Ravindra took 2-2 wickets. While Jimmy Neesham and Lockie Ferguson got 1-1 success.
