Senior Janata Dal (United) leader and minister Shravan Kumar has publicly confirmed this and indicated that the party will make a formal announcement soon.

Shravan Kumar said that there was a demand for a long time among the youth and party workers across the state that Nishant should enter politics. According to him, this decision will give new energy to the organization and will help in connecting the youth.

JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that the entry of clean image and capable youth into politics is welcome. Rejecting any comparison with opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, he said that Nishant’s educational background and personal image have a distinct identity.
