Liverpool's possible summer transfer business has been on the agenda in recent days. Despite last summer's expenditure totalling a record £450million spent, Arne Slot's side are expected to enter the upcoming winter with plans to improve several positions in the team.
Several more outgoings could be triggered with the contract situations of Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson not yet solved. It could be another summer of change for thereigning Premier League champions but reports of a stunning reunion could result in a familiar face returning to Anfield.
Mirror Football delves into the latest stories coming out of Merseyside, including a "very complicated" transfer involving former Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
'Very complicated' transferNow a key player for the reigning Premier League champions, there was a time when Ryan Gravenberch could barely get action during his failed stint at Bayern Munich. After just a season in Bavaria, the midfielder was prised away from the club by Jurgen Klopp and ended up being the German's last-ever signingon deadline day in 2023.
Despite establishing himself as one of the world's best young midfielders at Ajax, his career stagnated at Bayern with former boss Julian Nagelsmann delving into the reasons why Gravenberch was unable to make his mark at the German giants.

Speaking to Kicker, Nagelsmann said: "You have to pay extremely close attention to how a player handles being 15th or 16th in our squad, even though he's considered a top-six player at his club, someone who always plays. Let me give you an example from my time at Bayern Munich.
"Ryan Gravenberch is a top-class player, he already was at Bayern, but the situation was very complicated for him after his transfer from Ajax. Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich were ahead of him in the pecking order, and I had also promoted Aleksandar Pavlovic."

The Germany national team boss admitted that the role Gravenberch was tasked with at Bayern was not natural to the type of player he is. He added: "Ryan's task was to step up his game in the last 20 minutes, but that's not his style of play.
"Ryan is a player who needs consistent rhythm throughout the match. And then there are players you can bring on for 20 minutes, either to maintain a result or to desperately score a goal. They can give their all and leave everything on the pitch in those 20 minutes."

Despite selling Jarell Quansah last summer, Liverpool are reportedly plotting a plan to re-sign the England international. Since his £35m move to Bayer Leverkusen, the 23-year-old has been a mainstay in the team and has already accrued 32 games across all competitions, scoring four goals.
In the deal sending him to Germany, the Reds included a buy-back clause that will allow the champions is reportedly buy him for a fee in the region of £51m. Reports from Sky Germany claim the Reds will activate an €80 million (£69.7m) buy-back clause this summer.
Contrasting reports have claimed, however, that the clause does not become active until 2027, so an agreement may have to be made with Leverkusen should Liverpool attempt to buy him back this summer.
