New Delhi: Delhi commuters preparing for Holi 2026 should note important changes in metro services across the National Capital Region (NCR). On March 4, 2026, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) revised operational hours, with all lines starting service from 2:30 pm. Meanwhile, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has confirmed limited operations for Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro, which will run only between 5 pm and 10 pm. The temporary morning suspension aligns with widespread community and family celebrations, reducing commuter demand during early hours.
Authorities have also factored in public safety, staff deployment and crowd management while finalising schedules. Commuters heading to airports, railway stations, offices or intercity bus terminals are advised to plan accordingly. This adjustment ensures the festival is celebrated without disrupting essential travel, balancing cultural observances with operational convenience. Normal metro timings will resume on March 5, 2026, for all services across the region.
March 4, 2026, will see these temporary changes; regular schedules resume on March 5, allowing normal metro operations to continue.
