How many lunar eclipses occur in a year?
According to NASA, lunar eclipses usually occur twice a year, but sometimes three times. According to hundreds of years of data, only about 29% of total lunar eclipses are complete. A total lunar eclipse can be seen from one location every 2.5 years. The whole process lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour, so watching it is a very special experience.
